COMING SOON! The H. Russell Albee House has never needed an introduction. Built in 1912 for its prominent namesake in the heart of Laurelhurst, it arrived carrying the particular gravity of a home built to last - not just structurally, but culturally. Perched just outside the sun-drenched, pine-canopied Laurelhurst Park, this storied estate was entrusted to Jessica Helgerson Interior Design for a remodeling that touched every surface and system. The home was featured twice by Architectural Digest, in print and on film, recognized by Restore Oregon as a HIPstoric landmark, and celebrated by Portland Monthly and The Oregonian as a cornerstone of Portland's architectural and civic heritage. Original Craftsman millwork and period architectural details have been honored with conservator-level care, while custom woodwork, bespoke fixtures, and artisan collaborations layer the historic framework with something altogether new. The main floor hosts a generous living room with fireplace, den, dining room, and dedicated office. The kitchen is appointed with a LaCanche range, double Sub-Zero refrigerators with custom-designed paneling, and Waterworks fixtures throughout. The spacious second floor unfolds into a luxurious primary suite with fireplace, walk-in closet and dressing room, and a private sitting room overlooking the rose garden below. Three additional bedrooms complete the upper level, offering generous accommodation for family and guests alike. The completely reimagined lower level extends the home further still, offering a guest bedroom suite with sitting room, media room, game room, generous storage, and a spacious laundry room. Outside, the estate continues to impress - several entertaining areas, a spectacular greenhouse, rose gardens, beehives, wrought-iron gates, fountains, and a canopy of lush, mature trees and shrubs compose a landscape as considered as the home itself. More details to come as we proudly reintroduce this architectural treasure.
